hello again

Its been a while since I have had a chance to blog. Things have been crazy around here and I have been swamped with freelance projects, being a new teacher, and having to go to this new teacher training class once a week and dealing with all that homework. But the biggest thing has been a TV show that i was on last week. My freind Larry and I had been trying to get on this show since August. Its a new show thats on VH1. Thats about all i can say. Be careful what you wish for! We had to go through hoops in the audition process, and once we were cast, it was one thing after the other for about two months. I spent every waking moment with larry doing a bunch of work for the show, its a contest kinda thing. Last week we went to LA for 8 days for the taping. Whew! Am i glad thats over with. It was exhausting and i cant tell how glad I am to be back to my normal life. The show comes out in January. I will let you know when it does.

So while we were there it was all hazy because of the fires. On our last day there, the sunset was amazing. we thought it was like that all the time until we noticed everyone and their dog taking pictures of the sunset. we found out that the smoke from the fire was what made the sunset look so good. here are some pics, but they look like crap and dont do the real thing justice at all.

so as soon as i got back it was off to TRUDYS where theresa and I always go for any kind of welcome home dinner.



afterward we went to target to pick up a few things. Akello was tearing up the aisles. He moves pretty fast now.




This weekend was all about hanging out as a family and enjoying the weather. we went to the wells branch park for a good while. We all had a good time playing on the playscape and walking around the park. Akello looves to walk.



The house is a bit different too these days. With Theresa no longer working out of our home we have changed a few things, but we have still kept akello in mind.

I brought down the Eames Lounge Chair to the living room and we brought back our kitchen table. We bought a tripp trapp chair that everyone pitched in for at akellos birthday a while back. We put him in that for family meals but use the weening table when its just him eating breakfast or a snack. Akello was sick there for a bit and is still recovering. He had reactive airway disease. We are going to a new doctor named Dr. Suffredini now and have ditched our old pediatrician. This one is way better. Better bedside manner and better for parents that use the attached parenting style.
i say that like its some form of kung-fu or something.
