All the live long day

Akello and I were rocking out the other day. He somehow found the beat for "ive been working on the railroad" in my drum solo. We had the drum pads on so it sounds a little weird.

I read this quote today in a book my dad gave me.

When you teach your son, you teach your son's son. ~The Talmud

my parents didn't know how to play drums, and yet, they taught me how to work for them.

i had to show intrest in the drums for 5 years and play on a 100 dollar used drumset from sears that had cymbals that would bend when you hit them before they sprung for a beginner set from a respectable company (Pearl). And that set was for me AND my sister!

maybe they were just poor.

either way, i learned to work for what i wanted.

I saw this thing on the millenials. the generation after me. I was reading up on how teenagers think and stumbled across it. I am definitley not part of this generation but i can still relate a little bit. I definitely dont want akello getting a trophy if he looses. click here to see what i mean
